Planned Parenthood is one of the nation’s leading providers of high-quality, affordable health care, and the nation’s largest provider of sex education. They offer compassionate care, backed by medical experts and more than 100 years of research in reproductive health.

 

Sex Positive Families

Sex Positive Families is an organization that offers sex positive education, workshops, and support for parents and caring adults to strengthen sexual health talks with the children in their world. They have a variety of resources in one place to help talk to kids about sex, consent, and body positivity without shame or fear. Sex Positive Families offers a podcast, several downloadable resource guides, and online parenting groups. This website is incredibly inclusive and comprehensive for all bodies, genders, and sexual orientations.

 

Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS)

SIECUS asserts that sexuality is a fundamental part of being human, one worthy of dignity and respect. They advocate for the rights of all people to accurate information, comprehensive sexuality education, and the full spectrum of sexual and reproductive health services. SIECUS works to create a world that ensures social justice inclusive of sexual and reproductive rights. They have a myriad of resources and publications about a variety of topics related to sexuality.

Transgender Education Network of Texas

TENT is an organization dedicated to furthering gender diverse equality in Texas. They work to accomplish this through education, advocacy, and networking in both public and private forums. Through their efforts they strive to halt discrimination through social, legislative, and corporate education.

 

UN|HUSHED

UN|HUSHED offers access to affordable, medically-accurate, and up to date sexual education curricula. They also offer sex ed trainings for educators, administrators, facilitators, and mental health professionals. They empower others to use their curricula and manuals to their full potential. Additionally, UN|HUSHED offers lots of amazing free downloads and an online store full of books, apparel, stickers, and more.

 

UC Davis LGBTQIA Resource Center

The purpose of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual Resource Center (LGBTQIA Resource Center) is to provide an open, safe, inclusive space and community that is committed to challenging sexism, cissexism/trans oppression/transmisogyny, heterosexism, monosexism, and allosexism. They promote education as well as space for self-exploration about all sexes, genders and orientations and their intersections with other identities. They have an in-depth glossary of LGBTQ-related terms as well as tons of other resources.

 

What’s the Buzz is a modern, comprehensive sex ed for today’s youth. As our society challenges itself to grow and update the definitions of consent and relational trust, we must find new ways to help our children navigate their own sexual and relationship health. Based on the UnHushed program, this class covers sex and sexuality by helping adolescents learn about the science of bodies and sex and the humanity of relationships and consent!
